Q: How Can I Arrange a Ride?
A: We are often posted around town or riding around...just wave us down. You can also plan a ride or arrange a pick-up by calling, texting, or emailing us. 970-215-4030 or 720-235-2408
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: From around 2pm until around 11pm (often later on the weekends). It depends on demand. We operate Thursday-Monday and by appointment 7 days a week.
Q: How safe are you?
A: Well we are riding a bike on public roads, but your safety is our priority. Our drivers must have current Colorado driver's license, pass a background check and have a clean driving record. Our cabs have headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and seat belts. We are fully insured and our drivers have mandatory training before ever taking passengers. We follow local traffic laws as well as conform to the uniform traffic code and check in with local law enforcement regularly to discuss any information or issues we need to be made aware of in order to operate safely. Pedicabs undergo a daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance schedule.
Q: What kind of tours do you do?
A: We offer tours around Lake Estes and down town. Generally tours are scheduled in the mornings or evenings and can accommodate up to 8 people. We do wine tastings, art and history tours, progressive dinners, brewery tours, or you can plan a romantic date or fun outing. We are up for most anything.
Q: Is it difficult to pedal the bikes?
A: It's a 150 lb. bike and it's 100% human powered. With rider and passengers, we are looking at about a quarter of a ton! Don't worry about us though, we've taken our vitamines.
Q: What are your prices?
A: All ride prices are negotiated PRIOR to the ride so there aren't any surprises when you get there. Generally it's around $20 per mile (based on 2 people). We accept cash, credit or debit. If you liked your ride...feel free to tip your guide.
Q: Do you know much about the area?
A: We have lived and worked in Estes Park for over 20 years. We can recommend our favorite places to sip coffee, get a beer, go to church, hike, eat ice cream, get taffy, spend a rainy day, take a date, take the kids, see wildlife, fish, do laundry, camp, eat pizza, or buy some souvenirs.
Q: What else do you do?
A: Ever want to surprise someone on their birthday? Planning a scavenger hunt? Do you walk with a cane or other assistive device? Need a food delivery? We are here to help.
Q: Do you operate in bad weather? Let's put it this way: we've ridden in the desert without water, 500 miles across Kansas with a daily 30mph headwind, up the steepest paved road in Colorado in a hail storm, and over Vail Pass during a blizzard. Yes, we ride in bad weather. Our carriages have canopies and full weather enclosures.
Q: Do you do weddings?
A: Absolutely, we are hopeless romantics! We offer our pedicabs for: wedding photos, transportation to or from the wedding and/or reception, transport to rehersal dinners, and for your guests to and from parking and the event site. Call for pricing.
Q: What about the physically challenged, the young at heart (translation: older adults) or those using crutches, canes, or walkers?
A: We are happy to help you and your companions on and off the cab. We also have low step-ups with non slip surfaces and grab handles. The best part? Usually, we can manage to pull up, literally, 2 feet from the door of your destination! If you have someone in your vacation party who doesn't get around as well as the rest the group, here's your answer. We especially love our disabled vets. Be sure and ask about discounts for these honored passengers!
Q: Are pedicabs romantic, more fun than walking, more dry and warm than walking in the rain, the best way to see town, galleries, breweries, and sights, and worth flagging us down?
A: Why, yes...yes they are
